Changes. Big Time.
No proper updates for a while - time to come clean.

I've been looking for a new job for a while now, with the dual goals of moving out of my folks place (again) and getting a job with decent prospects.

Today I accepted a new position at a new company, handed in my notice at my old one, and new accomodation awaits.

I feel... FANTASTIC!

Also mixed in there is the usual doses of 'have I done the right thing?', 'what if it all goes wrong?'. 'will I enjoy my new job?' etc etc, but my gut feeling on this is is that it's just the right move to make at this point. It all just feels... right.

So, what will my new job be? I'm working for another ISP, but a smaller one than my last job, and for (yay!) more money. I'm still in tech support, and (groan) back on the phones for the time being, but the new company I'll be working for seems to take a far more enlightened view to providing customer support, and there are far better prospects for career progression as they are undergoing a lot of planned expansion.

My location will be changing too - I'm going over to live in Warrington, which gets me near my old stomping ground of Liverpool and the urban sprawl of Manchester. Lots and lots to see and do - well, more than Leeds and Pontefract, that's for sure.

So! Let's see how this all goes. Glorious fresh start? Career disaster of epic proportions? Same old same old? One thing is for sure - it's going to be interesting finding out.

Bring it on!

Going to work for Anne Summers?

Seriously, I've just changed jobs and am about to move, and am the happiest I've been for yonks (touch wood) - hope it all goes as well for you.

Congratulations Paul and the best of luck !!

I always used to think "what if I'm not up to it ?". Then you realise of course, that you are an IT *superstar*, and that you will totally piss it :o)

Moving out ? I prescribe pizza's and ASDA's "four meals for a fiver".

Nice one, Paul!
Warrington... wouldn't be U-Net, by any chance...? I had my first ever internet connection with them.
